Many little dogs are powerful chewers and you may need a larger size. The pressure exerted by a dog’s jaw is considerable, and when directed down can put tremendous stress on a dog’s teeth. It is recommended that non-edible chews be large enough to encourage chewing from the side rather than the top and bottom.
Nylabone the leader in responsible animal care for over 50 years, has a chew for just about every dog.
Nylabone Durable (Nylon) chews are recommended for strong chewers. Softer Nylabone Flexible, Dental (polymer) and rhino (Rubber) are NOT for strong chewers. Make sure you select the appropriate size nylabone chew for your dog. If you have more than one dog in your household, select chew’s approproiate for the largest, strongest chewer.
Nylabone chews or toys should not be given to young children or to pets other than dogs. (exception: Cheeky squeeky Pets for cats)
Your dog’s health and safety are your responsibility. Remember to supervise the use of all chews and toys!!
Nylabone Non-edible Chews (Plastic, Rubber, Nylon), although non-toxic, are NOT intended for consumption. During normal chewing, tiny bristle-like projections are raised, which help clean teeth. if these tiny pieces (no larger than a small grain grain of rice) should be ingested, they should pass through. However, a dog should not be able to break off large pieces of a nylabone Non-Edible Chew.
No dog toy or chew is totally indestructible. Frequently inspect your Nylabone before giving it to your dog to make sure it’s whole and intact, with no missing pieces. Replace your Non-Edible Chew when knuckle ends are worn down, or if it becomes too small for your dog to chew safely. If you think your dog has swallowed a piece of a Non-Edible Chew larger than 1/4 inch, promptly take the chew away from your dog and contact your veterinarian for advice.
To clean Nylabone Non-Edible Chews, scrub with a brush under warm water, using mild, non-toxic detergent, and rinse thoroughly. Inspect for wear while cleaning.Nylabone chews should not be boiled, placed in dishwasher, washing machine.
Nylabone Edible Chews are “treat” bones, not long-lasting chews. Their “lifespan” depends on how determined a chewer your dog is. These all-natural chews contain NO PLASTIC, and are made from wholesome ingredients and are edible and digesttible. Be sure your dog does not break off and swallow large pieces. Natural colour may stain light coloured surfaces.
Rawhide is a natural product. It is important that the chew be large enough and thick enough that your dog cannot easily chew off and swallow a large piece or swallow the whole chew. When the chew has been enjoyed down to a small portion, we recommend that you remove the remains. Rawhide that requires more than 5 days to chew should be discarded. Natural colour may stain light coloured surfaces.
Nylabone Edible Chews are best enjoyed by a dog with all of its permanent teeth; they are not recommended for the immature digestive systems of very young puppies. Consult your veterinarian for the right time to start your puppy on edible chews.
PUPPIES – Puppybone Puppy teething keys and puppy fish are specially designed ONLY for young, teething puppies. They should not be given to a dog with any permanent teeth, regardless of age.
